Born in Canada as David Lathangue, he grew up in Britain, where Dave discovered his passion for music. He is a self-taught base player with a beautiful voice. Dave came back to Canada at age of 19 and gave himself the stage name “Dave LaFame.” He has been involved in theatre and had his own karaoke business. He has been in the music industry for more than 30 years and is an award winning Tom Jones impersonator. Dave has been an impersonator for 15 years now. A few years ago he added Elton John to his impersonations and he nails the performance and imitation every time. You can catch Dave singing and playing base, just jamming and having fun in different bars during the week. Most recently Dave became the co-author of the book “Dreaming Big Being Bold.”
Dave is a father of three beautiful grown daughters and he has one grandchild. Dave’s life is packed with many gigs, love and laughter. A self-made man who is still reaching the limits beyond himself. His future plans involve making an impact in young musicians lives and to mentor them about the music industry. At 54, still full of fuel, sold out theaters, the audience just can’t get enough.
